  Porphyry deposits are the main source of Cu and one of the main source of Au in the world. They form bulk mineable, low grade, open pitiable deposits supplying 75% of the world’s Cu, 50% Mo, 20%+ Au, the most of Re and minor amounts of other metals

Resources of typical deposit exceed 1 Mt Cu Equivalent (= 160 t Au) Cu Eq. as Cu% + (Au ppm * 0.6)
